Contact Details & Information
My name is Brian Main, and I live in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England.
First and foremost, I am not or by no means a horologist. An electronics engineer by trade, and woodworker by hobby, my appreciation of time recorders is born purely out of the masterful design, engineering and aesthetic beauty of these machines. The longevity of their use, often under extreme circumstances (and mostly with user hatred!) never fails to amaze me.
I first encountered them when I rescued an NTR time recorder destined for a skip when a local factory on Tyneside closed in the 1980's - I have collected and restored many clocks since that time; mostly now re-sold, but some models kept.
Please note that I no longer collect or restore any of these clocks, and rarely have any clocks or parts for sale. I created this website for information purposes only, to assist and correspond with other time recorder enthusiasts and to help document the history of these machines.
If you have any omitted or corrective information, or have any different model clock pictures, please send them to me and I will endeavor to include them on the site.
For help and advice or any information you have or require regarding time recorders please email clockinfo@workclocks.co.uk and either myself or fellow time recorder restorer and enthusiast Desmond Bull will try to assist. You can also contact me directly by email at brian@workclocks.co.uk
